Maths Journal in Year 1/2!

We are becoming mathematical detectives!

Our question was: “Is every multiplication of two an even number?”

We explored different multiplication calculations, looked for patterns and used what we already know about odd and even numbers to investigate whether we could prove our ideas.

There were lots of great discussions, predictions and explanations as we worked together to justify our thinking.

We’re learning that in maths, it’s not just about getting the answer but about explaining how we know!
