Illnesses

If your child is unwell, please record the absence on studybugs before 9.00am on the first day of absence or by calling the school office on 01492 878907.  
School will contact parents during the first day if no satisfactory reason for absence has been provided. The school will ask about the child’s symptoms in order to record their absence accurately.

Please remember that if your child is absent for more than one day you will need to contact school daily with an update.

Children should not return to school until 48 hours following the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea.

Medical Appointments During School Time

If your child needs to attend a hospital, GP or other medical appointment during school time, we ask that you provide as much notice for these appointments as possible. Children are expected to come into school before their appointment, unless the appointment is before 9.30am and must be collected from the school office by a parent/carer. We request written confirmation of the appointment by presentation of an appointment card, letter or text reminder. Children are to return to school as soon as possible after their appointment.
