Grow a pound activity.

This term Dosbarth Siabod have enjoyed making keyrings to sell during our grow a pound week.  We have been making personalised keyrings to sell in school and to family and friends.  The money we make on these will be used to buy new resources for our class.  So far we have made £115!!

Bees

Dosbarth Siabod have been thoroughly enjoying learning all about Bee’s this term as part of our topic.  They especially enjoyed our visit from Huw at Conwy Bee keepers where we got to try freshly made local honey and try on the Bee keepers suits. Diolch Huw!

In class we have been learning how Bee’s make honey and the honey making process.  We have compared different Bee’s and asked lots of questions. The children have been writing stories including The day in the life of a Bee.

The Zoo

Dosbarth Lliwedd have had a wonderful time this term learning all about different animals. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Welsh Mountain Zoo, where we saw a variety of animals up close. Back in the classroom, we have been busy creating lots of animal-themed crafts and exploring what different animals eat.

Money

Dosbarth Lliwedd have been working very hard this term in their maths lessons, focusing on recognising and understanding different coins. The pupils have explored the value of each coin through a range of activities, including sorting, matching, and using coins in real-life contexts such as role-play shops.
