Croeso i Criw Cymraeg Ysgol Ffordd Dyffryn! 

Beth yw Criw Cymraeg?

The Criw Cymraeg are responsible for encouraging the use of the Welsh language throughout the school in addition to promoting a positive Welsh ethos. All of our hard work will go towards helping us achieve the Cymraeg Campus language charter silver award, which we are very excited about.

Rydyn ni eisiau gwella defnydd o’r Gymraeg yn yr ysgol. We chose to join the Criw Cymraeg because we are interested in improving the use of the Welsh language in our school. We wanted to help people learn Welsh. 

Ein Nod / Our Aim

I wella ein defnydd o’r Gymraeg ar draws yr ysgol a sicrhau bod waliau o gwmpas yr ysgol yn Gymraeg. To improve the amount of Welsh used throughout the school and increase the amount of Welsh displayed in the school. 

Beth rydyn ni wedi gwneud? / What have we done?

• Cyfarfod pob wythnos i drafod targedau. We meet every week to discuss the Cymraeg Campus targets.
• Annog plant a staff i siarad Cymraeg. We encourage learners and staff to speak Welsh.
• Meddwl am ymadrodd yr wythnos i bawb yn yr ysgol. Think of different phrase of the week activities. 
• Cymryd rhan gweithredol mewn gwasanaethau. Take an active part during school assemblies. 
• Gwobrwyo “Siaradwr Cymraeg yr Wythnos” yn ystod gwasanaeth. Reward “Siaradwr Cymraeg yr Wythnos” during assembly. 

Beth sydd nesa? What next?

• Annog plant i recordio eu hunain yn defnyddio brawddeg yr wythnos. Encourage everyone to record themselves using the phrase of the week. 
• Gweithio gyda’r gymuned i wella defnydd o’r Gymraeg mewn siopau lleol. Work closely with the community to ensure that Welsh is used in local shops.

Cymraeg Campus

At Ysgol Ffordd Dyffryn, we are working hard on developing our Welsh skills. Our Criw Cymraeg are making sure that children and teachers are speaking as much Welsh as possible at all times. 

The Cymraeg Campus Language Charter has been created to develop Welsh in English medium schools. The charter consists of three awards:

1. Efydd / Bronze
2. Arian / Silver
3. Aur / Gold.

As a school we are currently working towards our silver award. Below is our school display. It reminds everyone of our Welsh targets and we have to tick off when we have achieved a point.
